Since Serena’s split with Rocky she felt she had a new lease on life.  After another invite to Tara’s home in Georgia, her break up with Rocky gave her no more excuses to say no.  Never did she dream in a million years that she’d run into Antonio Walker, an absolutely gorgeous man she was instantly attracted to.  The intense chemistry Tony and Serena shared was not easily hidden, not even from Melissa, Tony’s girlfriend.  Serena knows Tony is unavailable and as she admonishes herself for lusting after him she realizes that she’s fallen in love.

                              Chapter Two

As the girls got dressed, their excitement was hardly bearable. This was Tyler Perry’s first motion picture film, and it had been out one week and had already received extraordinary reviews. The girls were supposed to see the movie the first night it opened, but Serena had duty at the last minute, and Tara didn’t want to see it without her.  Tara always wore skirts and low-cut blouses to show off her bountiful upper body. She was truly blessed in that area, and she knew it.  Serena had to give it to her she knew how to work it. She was a little self-conscious about her bottom half, so she avoided jeans. Serena on the other hand was tiny but cut up top with a twenty-four-inch waist and thirty-eight-inch hips. She had been termed as a shorty with an “apple bottom.” Serena didn’t particularly care for that description, but she’d heard it more than once and knew it was an accurate description. Tara had on a beautiful khaki skirt with a soft pink blouse with her hair tied up in a ponytail. Serena wore her favorite pair of low-rise jeans and a white sleeveless top with her favorite tan sandals. Serena had arms like Angela Bassett and sometimes had to cut back on her upper-body workouts when her arms began to look too masculine. Serena and Tara said good-bye to the family, and they left for the movies. Serena drifted off and ended up on Tony. He looked so good earlier today walking away in his Levi’s and baby blue polo shirt. He had a very muscular back and arms and seemed to be in very good shape. It had to be from years of working out or credited to his current job as a firefighter. Her thoughts then jumped to his showing up at the basketball court unaccompanied.
Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but it was hard not to, she thought.
“Earth to, Serena,” she could hear Tara say as if she had said it more than once.
     “Yes, I’m—”
Tara interrupted her before she could finish her sentence. “I know you were thinking about Tony. I asked if you wanted to do anything special tomorrow. We’ve got the whole day to do whatever we want to since the party doesn’t start until nine o’clock.”
“No, I’m just here to do whatever it is you want to do. I am having such a great time with your family and friends, so whatever you want to do is fine with me.”
“Okay, well, we’ll play it by ear and not make any concrete plans.”
“Sounds good to me,” Serena said as she smiled.
