"Where the Art and Elegance of Taking Tea is Treasured"

                               "A New Twist"

If you are like most people, you love Chocolate Covered Pretzels. And you might not think of them as a typical Afternoon Tea treat, but the sweet and salty combination make them perfect to enjoy with a cup of tea. Here’s a decidedly easy and unique way to make them, and your guests are sure to devour them faster than you can set them down on your Afternoon Tea table.

1 bag small round pretzels
1 bag Hershey’s Kisses

Optional:
Candied sprinkles

Preheat oven to 200E (you can use a toaster oven to save even more money by using less energy than a large oven).
On an ungreased baking sheet, place the pretzels 1" apart. Put a Hershey Kiss in the center of each pretzel round.
Bake for 5 minutes or until the chocolate softens and melts, filling the center of the pretzels. Remove from the oven. For an added visual treat, you can decorate the tops with colored candied sprinkles. Refrigerate the pretzels to harden the chocolate.
These chocolate covered pretzels are unlike anything you will find in the stores. They’re not dipped . . . they’re "chocolate filled" . . . and your guests will be talking about them, and you, for days!

     The ingredients cost us approximately:
          Small Round Pretzels (300/bag) - $.01each ($2.50/bag)
          Hershey Kisses (72/bag) - $.04 each ($3.19/bag)

The approximate cost of one chocolate-filled pretzel is less than $.05 (add another penny for the sprinkles). These are real cost-saving salty/sweet treats, which all of us can use in these tough financial times.
