"Where the Art and Elegance of Taking Tea is Treasured"
"A Truly Bloomin' Tea"
Roses bloom. Cherry trees bloom. Even children bloom. But tea bags? Well, Numi Tea offers a uniquely new tradition that celebrates tea leaves.
Flowering organic teas are handsewn with cotton thread into bundles, or rosettes, by meticulous and highly talented craftsmen working throughout China. These tea “buds” blossom when steeped in hot water and sprout into delicate, rare tea “flowers” releasing their liquor ranging from sweet and subtle to rich and bold.
They do not require a tea strainer or bag as the tea leaves are tied together in an artful arrangement that opens its petals like a chrysanthemum awakening to the morning dew.
Best brewed in a clear glass teapot (also sold by Numi), flowering teas will delight children and adults alike with their simmering ballet.
Numi Flowering Tea is a big hit in Hollywood as well. It received star-studded enthusiasm at the Sonya Dakar Adwil Pre-Oscar’s Gifting Lounge earlier this year. One of its admirers is Brian Austin Green of Beverly Hills 90210 fame, seen here with Hammad Atassi, Numi’s General Manager and Director of Food Service. Other devotees include Madonna, Ken Davitian (Borat) and Loretta Devine (Waiting to Exhale).
Numi Organic Teas are not only environmentally friendly, as they are organically grown, but they serve a philanthropic purpose as well. Numi donates 20 percent of its profits to help rebuild a bamboo factory in China that was destroyed in a 2005 flood, and the products are packed at Community Gatepath, an organization employing disabled adults.
Printed on the inside of every Numi Organic Tea box lid is a recipe that can be made with Numi Tea. Below are a couple of wonderful recipes that we thought you might like to try. Visit Numitea.com and take a stroll through their garden of rare flowering teas. You won’t be disappointed.
A debt of gratitude goes to Anna Wasserman-Hartman, Public Relations Manager for Numi Organic Teas for her generous assistance with the preparation of this newsletter.
