"Havin' a Ball with Peanut Butter"
These darling little peanut butter balls will be the hit of any children’s tea party, but adults are sure to pop them into their mouths just as quickly as they can.
In a large mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, honey, dry milk, oats and 1/4 cup rice crispy cereal. Shape into 18-1" balls. 1/4 cup peanut butter
(creamy or chunky)
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup non-fat dry milk
1/3 cup quick oats
3/4 cup rice crispy cereal
(crush 1/2 cup)
Put the remaining 1/2 cup rice crispy cereal in a ziploc bag and crush with a rolling pin or kitchen mallet.
Place the balls in the bag and shake to coat each one with the cereal. Refrigerate until serving.
If you are hosting a children’s tea party, serve Elmwood Inn's Apricot Decaf tea with these nutty treats. It's a blend of Black China tea with apricots but without the caffeine, so it's healthy for the little ones. And it is also delicious iced! Or for an adult tea party, brew a pot of Harney & Sons' Chocolate tea. No one can resist the combination of chocolate and peanut butter. Either way, you will be known as the “Hostess with the Mostess!”
