"Where the Art and Elegance of Taking Tea is Treasured"
"Noel Nuts"
1 cup sugar
It’s the height of the holiday season, and your front doorbell is ringing with excited anticipation of the festive Holiday Afternoon Tea party you are about to host. So, why not surprise your guests with an unexpected treat on your table. Whip up a batch of Spicy Sweet Nuts, put them in a special bowl, and set them out on your Afternoon Tea table. Then, stand back and watch them disappear faster than Santa Claus up the chimney!
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 large egg white
6 cups unsalted mixed nuts
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease two jelly-roll pans.
In a small bowl, mix together sugar, salt, cumin, cinnamon and cayenne pepper.
In a large bowl, beat the egg white until foamy.
Stir the nuts into the egg white, making sure all of the nuts are coated.
Add the sugar and spice mixture to the bowl, and mix together to thoroughly coat all of the nuts.
Divide the nuts between the two jelly-roll pans, spreading them evenly on the bottom. Bake for 25 minutes, stirring twice while baking, until the nuts are golden brown and dry. Transfer the nuts to a sheet of waxed paper and spread them evenly into a single layer to cool.
Your guests will go "nuts" over these when they taste them along with a cup of Stash’s Holiday Chai tea, a spicy, aromatic blend of black teas, pure spices and natural gingerbread and rum flavors. You will have a "ho, ho, ho" hot time for the holidays!
