"Turkey Trot Treats" 1/2 cup whole cranberry sauce
Your guests will trot on over for Afternoon Tea to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday when they learn that you have put out these sweet and spicy hot Turkey Tea Sandwiches for everyone to enjoy. Flavored with cranberry sauce and horseradish, these normally bland tea sandwiches will win any taste marathon.
3/4 teaspoon prepared
horseradish
8 thin slices white bread
(4" in diameter)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
3/4 teaspoon snipped fresh dill
8 lettuce leaves
12 oz. thinly sliced, cooked
turkey
Green or red grapes
Parsley
Stir together the cranberry sauce and horseradish in a small mixing bowl; set aside.
Trim the crusts from the bread slices.
In a separate bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and dill. Spread this mixture on the bread slices.
Top each bread slice with a lettuce leaf and a slice or two of turkey (fold or ripple the turkey slices to fit onto the bread slices).
Spoon a dollop of the cranberry mixture on top of the turkey. Garnish the plate with grapes and parsley.
