"Where the Art and Elegance of Taking Tea is Treasured"

                           "A Little Angel"

It’s the holidays and if you are like a lot of people, you will be hosting more than one party to celebrate the joys of the season. A fun and unique way to celebrate is by hosting an Afternoon Tea party. And, a truly unique sweet treat to delight your guests is miniature Christmas Angel cakes. These are no-bake cakes that would dress up your Afternoon Tea table with a very festive look.

1 frozen pound cake
2 cans vanilla frosting
1 tube each of yellow,

pink, green, blue, red

and white decorating icing
1 package white chocolate

melting candies
24 small pretzels
12 donut holes

Cut the pound cake in half. Then cut each half into 6 triangular wedges.
Frost each wedge with vanilla frosting, covering the top and sides. Using the yellow, pink and green decorating icing, pipe a decorative border (in one color) around the edges on the tops of the cakes. These will form the bodies of the angels, with the narrow point of the triangle being the neck.

In a double boiler on the stove top, melt the white chocolate candies and dip the pretzels in, covering the entire surface of the pretzels. Put them on waxed paper to set and harden. Attach one pretzel (lying flat) to each side of the cakes, up near the narrow point of the triangle, by pressing the bottom rounded edge of each pretzel into the vanilla frosting. These will form the wings of the angels.
To form the heads, press a toothpick half way into each donut hole, and attach the hole to the top of the cake triangle by pressing the other half of the toothpick into the cake. Decorate the heads using the blue decorating icing for the eyes, the red icing for the mouths, and the yellow icing for the hair. Use the white icing to pipe a halo around the top of the head.

Your guests will think they’ve "died and gone to Heaven" when they see these adorable miniature Christmas Angel Cakes on your Afternoon Tea table along with cups of tea-licious Celestial Seasonings Nutcracker Sweet Holiday Tea, an irresistibly delicious black tea with vanilla, nutty flavors and cinnamon. So, gather round and sing "Hallelujah!"
